Health Insurance Resources

Students attending college in New York City should be covered by personal health insurance. NYCDA does not provide health insurance coverage for our U.S. Domestic Students. Below are options for Health Insurance Coverage Providers.
U.S. DOMESTIC STUDENTS

If you do not already have Health Insurance Coverage:

N.Y. State of Health covers preventive care such as routine doctor visits and screenings at no additional cost. https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

F-1 Student Health Insurance

Although NYCDA does not mandate health insurance for F-1 students, it is highly recommended that NYCDA F-1 international students (and any dependents) purchase international student health insurance to:

reduce the high costs of out-of-pocket medical expenses
have access to a wide range of bona fide health care providers
ensure that they have medical evacuation and repatriation benefits to their home countries
