The New York Conservatory’s “Meet The Industry” Program is an opportunity for serious high school age actors (ages 14-19) to spend a week in NYC “In The Room Where It Happens”- making important connections and working with professional Casting Directors, Agents and Managers!

A Week of Professional Connections

This program is for high school age actors (ages 14-19) who are ready for the next step in their professional journey. It is a practical, performative program where you’ll have a chance to interface with NYC Agents, Managers, and Casting Directors.

Meet The Industry

Join us In The Room Where it Happens, and Meet the Industry in July or August:

  • July 2025: July 7 – July 11, 2025
  • August 2025: August 11 –  August 15, 2025

Here’s a look at our planned schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: During the week workshop participants will be meeting with casting directors, agents and managers in workshops from Monday to Thursday from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.
  • Friday: workshop participants will have mock auditions on Friday morning.

We are currently developing our schedule and the roster of Industry Professionals for the Meet The Industry Programs this Summer. Please check back for updates!

Cost:

This one-week programs is $1,750

Early Registration Discounts are available

  • Housing Available: Suite-style rooms with private bath and kitchenette. Location within NYC boroughs. Arrangements can be made with The New York Conservatory to book space in our Residence Hall for an additional $600 (plus a refundable $200. damage deposit).

Note: For the Meet The Industry Program, International participants may enter the U.S. on either the B1/B2 visa or ESTA as this would be considered recreational study not for credit or certification by USCIS

Application:

Please send a self-tape with a slate before the audition material addressing the following:

  • Your name
  • Age
  • Prior training/experience
  • Representation (if any)
  • Your school
  • Your professional and artistic interests

Audition material for On-Camera Actors:

  • Present a one-minute contemporary (1950s-present), age-appropriate monologue from a published play, screenplay, web series, or television script

Audition material for Musical Theatre Actors:

  • Present 32 bars of a musical theater song
