Why This Matters

This partnership reflects a commitment to fostering diversity in the performing arts by addressing the critical barriers faced by individuals from diverse economic backgrounds. Access to performing arts education often remains limited due to financial constraints, which hinders the inclusion of varied perspectives in the industry. By welcoming international students, NYCDA aims to enrich its community and ensure that all students, regardless of their economic circumstances, are prepared for successful careers in a global arts landscape. Emphasizing inclusivity not only enhances the learning environment but also strengthens the artistic voices that shape our cultural future.
